Top 5 Arizona Car Shows on Sunday, September 20, 2026

Four shows run in Arizona that Sunday and one the night before. Here they are, ranked by how far you have to drive from southern Arizona and what you get when you arrive.

Sunday 20 September 2026 is a busy day for Arizona car culture, but the events are spread from Sierra Vista to Williams — a five-hour drive apart. This list is ranked for someone starting in Sierra Vista, Tucson or anywhere in Cochise County, so distance is weighted heavily. If you are starting in Phoenix, read it bottom to top.

Event details change. Every listing below was checked on 3 September 2026 against public event calendars, but a rained-out lot or a venue change will not always reach those calendars in time. Confirm with the organiser before a long drive.

1. Kief Smoke Shop x Torque Society Night Car Show — Sierra Vista

Sunday 20 September, 6:00–9:00 PM. 1020 E Fry Blvd, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.

The only show actually happening in Cochise County that day, and the only one on this list running after dark. Kief Smoke Shop and Torque Society are taking over the lot on East Fry Blvd for three hours of cars, food and music. All ages — bring family, bring friends, bring the car.

A night show is a different thing from a Sunday-morning cars-and-coffee. Underglow, engine bay lighting and candy paint all read completely differently under lot lights than they do in flat desert sun, and the temperature in September makes 6 PM a far more comfortable time to stand around a parking lot than 8 AM.

20% off the entire store all day. The discount runs all day Sunday, not just during the show — in store only. If you have been waiting on a piece of glass or a new torch, this is the day.

Why it is first on this list: for anyone in Sierra Vista, Huachuca City, Whetstone, Benson, Bisbee or on Fort Huachuca, it is the only one of these you can attend without an hour on the highway each way. Full details are on our home page, and the shop is open its usual Sunday hours of 10 AM to 6 PM before the show starts.

2. Marana Cars and Coffee — Marana

Sunday 20 September, 8:00–10:00 AM. 13864 N Sandario Road, Marana, AZ 85653.

The closest of the rest, roughly an hour and three quarters north-west of Sierra Vista on the far side of Tucson. Cars and coffee is a looser format than a judged show — people arrive, park, drink coffee and talk, and it thins out by mid-morning. Turn up early; at a two-hour event the first hour is the event.

Because it finishes at 10 AM and the Sierra Vista show does not start until 6 PM, these two are genuinely compatible. It is the only pairing on this list that is.

3. Cars & Candy — Tucson (Saturday night before)

Saturday 19 September, 5:00–7:00 PM. Candy World, 9136 E Valencia Rd, Ste 130, Tucson, AZ 85747.

Not on the Sunday, but close enough to the same weekend to be worth planning around, and it is on the Sierra Vista side of Tucson — about an hour and twenty from town on the 90. A club meetup rather than a formal show, which usually means a smaller, friendlier turnout and no entry process to worry about.

4. Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers Car Show — Gilbert

Sunday 20 September, 4:00–8:00 PM. 1026 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296.

A recurring monthly show in the East Valley that runs into the evening. Roughly three hours from Sierra Vista, so this is a Phoenix-metro event with a Phoenix-metro crowd — worth the drive if you are already heading up, hard to justify if you are not.

Note that this show runs monthly on a Sunday, so if you miss September there is another in October.

5. Rock'n'Route Rendezvous — Williams

Sunday 20 September, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM. Williams Rodeo Grounds, 750 Airport Rd, Williams, AZ 86046.

The biggest day on this list by hours — twelve of them — and by far the furthest away. Williams sits on Route 66 west of Flagstaff, five hours or more from Sierra Vista, which makes this an overnight trip rather than a day out. Genuinely worth it as a destination weekend; not something you drive to and back from in a day from southern Arizona.

What to bring to a night show

A night show asks slightly different things of you than a morning one. From running the lot on East Fry:

  • Bring light. If your engine bay is worth looking at, it needs its own lighting after dark. A cheap LED work lamp in the boot does more for your car than another wash.
  • Microfibre and a quick detailer. Dust on the drive in shows up badly under lot lights — worse than in daylight, because the light is directional.
  • Cash. Food and small vendors are quicker with it, and phone signal in a crowded lot is not something to rely on.
  • Something warm. September evenings in Sierra Vista drop off fast once the sun is gone. We sit at 4,600 feet; it is not Phoenix.
  • Arrive early if you are showing. Good spots go in the first twenty minutes at any show, everywhere, always.

Getting to the Sierra Vista show

1020 E Fry Blvd is on the main road through town, a few minutes from the Fort Huachuca main gate. Parking is in the lot and along Fry. If you are coming from Tucson it is about an hour and a quarter down the 90; from Benson, roughly forty minutes.

The shop itself carries glass, vapes, hookah and shisha, tobacco and cigars, rolling papers, grinders and torches — all 20% off that day. If you are new to the shop, our guide to what makes a good smoke shop is a reasonable place to start, and there is more on the shop in our guide for Fort Huachuca.

The car show is all ages and family friendly. The shop is 21+ with photo ID, as Arizona law requires — that applies to entering the store, not to standing in the lot looking at cars.
